Weetabix Food Company is delighted to announce Cransley Hospice as its third charity partner, following a vote by Weetabix employees.
Cransley Hospice Trust raises funds and supports those with life limiting illnesses in the north of Northamptonshire. Weetabix will plan and hold a number of onsite fund-raising activities to raise money for the charity and will encourage employees to get involved in Cransley’s events, like their ‘Mirrored Ball’, cycle race and bubble run.
Stuart Branch, Group People and IT Director at Weetabix, said: “Giving back to the local Northamptonshire community is an important part of our charity ethos here at Weetabix and we’re very proud to begin working with Cransley Hospice. We gave our employees the opportunity to choose which local charity partner they would like to champion and Cransley came out on top with many employees having friends and family who have benefited from the incredible work they do.
“We’re looking forward to helping make a real difference to the lives of those individuals the Hospice supports and our whole workforce is keen to get behind the new partnership.”
Mary Hollands, Community Fundraiser at Cransley Hospice Trust comments: “We are honoured and delighted to be chosen by Weetabix employees as their new charity partner. We rely on the support of local organisations and their staff to raise some of the £1.4 million we need each year to provide our full range of services – including our specialist in-patient unit, the Hospice at Home service and even bereavement support – so having the commitment of such a prominent local brand will make the world of difference to our charity.”
“We’re excited to see what fabulous fundraising activities are planned throughout the year and to welcoming Weetabix employees at some of our own events!”
